This monograph, the first in Russian literature, analyzes the role of markers common to malignant and embryonic cells in the formation of their shared biological properties and the development of similar changes in endocrine and immune status observed in cancer and pregnancy. It summarizes and analyzes extensive factual material obtained to date by specialists working in various fields of experimental and clinical oncology. Along with the authors’ interpretation of existing literature, the monograph presents a number of fundamentally new findings, the result of the authors’ own theoretical and experimental research.
